I am new to the forum, new to Honda and new to riding. I went out last week and bought a CBR1000RR. What a great first bike. It's fairly forgiving and it's light enough for me to maneuver.

I've never ridden before and this bike seems fairly fast. I am trying to figure out how to wheelie the bike and can't seem to get it up in 2nd gear. I can wheelie in first, but 2nd it won't come up, any suggestions?

I've also had the bike up to 140mph before I got a bit nervous and slowed down. How fast does this bike go?

I nearly crashed last night pulling out into traffic, but it was clearly the other guys fault. He knew I was turning and sped up to try to hit me. Does this kind of crap happen alot?

Anyways I hope to learn a lot and become an experienced rider quickly.

 

Your going to catch alot of crap for what you said there in the last post. Sounds like you might be having a little too much fun if your just starting out. I just started riding and i bought a cbr 600 last week and it is very fast!
I do know that most drivers do not pay attention on the road so you have to be very careful.

 

Are you serious?? Sounds like a experienced rider screwing with the minds of the uninformed!!
A CBR1000RR as a beginner bike is like learning to fly in the SPACE SHUTTLE.

 

I was screwin' around. Just wanted to see how much trouble I could stir up on my first post. I've been riding all my life, this is not my first bike, I also own a YZF600R that I have ridden for quite some time. I don't do the squidly things. Just having some fun with you guys.
