If so, you may need to clean them and get them synced. Also, it could be connections somewhere. But your right, none of us know what we are talking about. But then again, we havent had a problem and all of our stuff is running (for the most part). You need to take it to someone that knows what they are doing. I guarentee that you take it to a dealer service department, and it will be fixed. And you being on a 250 for 2 days in a class doesnt teach you everything that there is to know or let you feel the ability of it. So you dont know jack after 2 days of being on one.

I totally agree with you here, and no the advice is not in anyway bad. There is a BIG difference between a 250cc and a 600cc, espeically a new 600, because if you think your old 600 could box with an F4.....you are in a world of hurt. And should you dump your bike due to inexperiance, you would probably rather it be something old than some brand new bike. And seriously, my bike is pushing 34k miles, if the bike is taken care of, it shows it, and also vice versa, you just had a little bad luck, don't blame it on good advice.

That Ferrari reference was dumb. A 2007 Honda CBR is not the Ferrari of the motorcycle world. I dare you to tell me that it is. So, you still totally agree with that way off comment??

I've been good... any noobs out there... watch this thread, this is how delusional, a person that is farely unteachable ,can be. It will be a shame to hear about his "painfull learning curve" as he proceeds, w/ this mind set. Some people sound as if motorcyling is like buying a new cd, just cut the wrapper and go, taking no responsibility for anything involved.I say honestly, sell the bike and pick out another less involved sport, hobby, thrill... whatever"it" was to start w/... and stay alive longer... come back when you've matured... This sport (love, to me) will kill you dead or make a veg outta you, so fast, w/o asking first.
The advice about buying used, and smaller cc... is valid... listen to the wisdom of those that have succesfully preceded... this guy is in NO position to give advice...experience, trackrecord, content, teachability, validity, life expectancy..."as is" I hope the best for him.He will have no one to blame... but himself.

Please don't blame things on other people. You, sir, are an adult; as a matter of fact, we all are. You are completely free to choose what you want to do. We make choices and have to live with them. Nobody makes you do anything; you choose to do it. Nobody made you buy that specific bike; you chose to buy it. Advice is simply an opinion offered as a guide. You can take it for what it is, and you can either choose to follow it or to not. Nobody forced you to adhere to the advice given. Your situation was unfortunate and I'm sorry your bike broke.

You are all pissed off. We get that, you're mad. You are mad at the fact that you took the advice from more experienced riders, that a new rider will be better off buying a used bike, and got burned. It broke, you're mad, and instead of taking it like a man, you blame other people for your mistake. No, you aren't directly saying that, but that's how it's coming off in your posts.
I have a question for you though......Would you be ranting and all pissed off if your used bike was running fine? I think not. I also think that if you got a great deal on a used bike and it ran great, you too would be on here advising newer riders to purchase used.

We give out friendly advice (advice as in a "suggestion".) We DIDN'T hold a gun to your head and force you to buy a used bike. That was YOUR decision and YOURS alone.....deal with it and move on.
............and jumping from a 250 to a 600 is kind of like getting out of your Civic and getting into a Ferrari. So I wouldn't consider my analogy about the 16-year old and the Ferrari as "dumb"............more on the line of genius or super-freaking-awesome-genius.
