HI, NEED INFO RE: F4.PLEASE
Hey all, I would like to thank you ahead of time for your opinions. I am an ex R1 owner. It was powerful, but unreliable, and uncomfortable. I am seriously thinking about buying an F4. The ride is more upright and the numbers I have seen, show this as a pretty powerful bike. I know I am not going to have the power my R1 did. But the best thing about my R1 was the top end. I had it at 287kms/hour.That is 179 miles/hour. And I couldn't keep it there for more than 5 sec's. So now top end isn't that important anymore. I want a reliable, comfortable, affordable, performance bike. I have seen numbers that say this is as quick or quicker than the 600RR in the quater mile. Is that right? I also enjoyed wheelieing at 60 mph. Is this bike capable of doing this in stock form. I know it shouldn't be important, but I am a stupid kid at heart. I would appreciate any info, good or bad, regarding the F4 and even the F3. Sorry for the length of my post, thanks for any and all opinions.
Welcome to the site! You might get some answers to your questions here, but you'd probably have better luck in the F4 section. If you don't get some answers here, try posting up over there.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Pits, Fat, and Manny. I think you are right Oldfatguy, I should post something on F4, and Manny you said what I was thinking, after having a Litre bike, a 600, even though a great 600F4, I might grow tired of it fast and want a Litre bike. I just have heard so much hype over the F4, that I thought maybe it might be a good choice. But now I am thinking maybe a 1999 or so Fire Blade 900 to keep me in the price range I want. I would love a new CBR 1000 RR, but I don't have the opportunity to ride as much as I would like, and it may not be worth while to spend that amount of scratch on a bike. Not at this time any way. Thanks again.
