Hi! Got my very first bike recently...
And it is a 2001 CBR600F4i!
I know, most of you all will think it's dumb to start off on a 600, but hey, let me just enjoy it.
I'm a short rider, only 5'4 / 5'5" and I one foot it at lights. Been riding for about 4 weeks already and I am definitely feeling more confident.
I do plan on taking an MSF course once I am done with classes with summer semester.
But anyway, here are some pictures of my baby…

Hello Scene and welcome to the forum! Love the color scheme, got a bit of stormtrooper/TIE pilot thing going with the white mask and the snorkels
Quite the contrary actually, a 600 bike is a great starter bike. In fact most of the users will probly advice AGAINST starting on a 900/1000cc bike. Waaay too much power in inexperienced hands. I got three full seasons behind me with my F2, and even though I have another project I'm in no hurry parting with it when the triumph gets done. Even though I've ridden over 20 tkm with the Honda the Daytona still scares me!
The other way round, don't got much info bout 250/400 bikes as the laws and insurances pretty much render them pointless here, comes down to personal choice. but nonetheless an F4i is a perfect starter, inline 600:s, specially Hondas behave very meekly when you want them to, but still pack a hefty punch once you're up for it so there's a lot of bike for a long time there. So, do the MSF course, get properly acquainted with the bike, go tame some backwoods twisties and learn to lean in different situations, BUY AND ALWAYS WEAR PROPER GEAR and most of all have fun!

Welcome to cbrf. Nice looking f4i. I agree, the decision on a 600 is not a stupid one. As long as you take your time and learn the bike you'll be fine. It was designed to do way more than you can from the beginning so it's a great bike to grow into. Another good decision deciding to take the msf. Im still surprised at what I learned in mine so many years ago. Enjoy the freedom, be safe, and definitely get some gear.

Welcome to the forum bud. Great bike. She will treat you right just take care of her. Keep up on the service and what not. Get a manual if you do not have one already. There are plenty of links. Let us know if you need one. Then follow the outline in the manual regarding to service and what to check at what intervals. Just keep it up to par and should have no probs. Good luck and be safe.

Had a solid ride this evening after work!
Such a beautiful day out riding in the backroads. I remember the first day I bought it, I stalled it out leaving the neighborhood I bought it from lol. Then I also stalled it at a light right by my house. lmao. Ever since then, It's been almost a month, and I am super comfortable riding to and from work, sometimes evening classes if I know I will be out of class before it gets too dark!
Anyway, where can I find a manual online for this bike?
2001 CBR600F4i . The most recent maintenance I have done to it so far is just an oil change. I feel like I need to do something to it this weekend, so I plan on going to the local motorcycle shop to pick up some chain cleaner and re lube / wax the chain. It's looking a little gross and I think my chain is actually a little loose… it sounds like it's riding the chain guide thing on top of the swing arm?
Other than that, I just plan on giving her a nice wash to keep her clean
