Hi Good people
Hello all... just a brief introduction,
Bikes have been a part of my life since day 1 ( Have 3 older brothers that ride and race so didnt really have a choice) My current road bike is the RRW Fireblade and although ive never been a big Honda fan I must admit that this bike is a real corker!
Having spent last summer riding my 1000cc Yamaha the Honda is the complete opposite, Gone are the constant drive chain adjustments, oil top-ups, and almost monthly tyre replacement and chain/sprockets.
This summer with the Honda has been almost completely maintenance free. ( just my usual 1000 mile oil change, and drive chain I had to adjust just once)
Must admit I really enjoyed playing on the blade this summer and Im considering weither or not to sell it at the end of the year. In all honesty the blade is in exeptional condition having only done 11,000 miles and has been meticulously cared for since the day it left the Honda factory and having just 1 pervious owner who polished it more than he rode it. if I sold this one I doubt I would be able to get another RRW in the same condition.
Dont get me wrong, I still love my Yam, and I really enjoy the totaly different charactoristics of both bikes.
All in all Im very happy with the Honda and happy to be a member of this CBR forum.
PS: I have some onboard movie clips that I filmed while on the Honda lastweek including some 175mph blasts (oops.. public roads) while out riding with a buddy on his Yam 1000 Exup and some wet road cold tyres 100mph wheelspins. the file sizes are small (Xvid codec) but the quality is suprisingly good.
Im not sure if im able to post the clips on this site but if any of you would like to see them just let me know.....
Thanks,
Mike.
