Default Hi all, from Alaska

Howdy folks! I just found the site the other day while browsing around and it looked like a nice place make my home.

I am 29 years old and i currently live in North Pole, AK. I have recently purchased a 2006 CBR 1000 (price was too good to pass up, $9600 otd) and am trying to squeeze as much riding time in before winter hits. This is my 3rd bike, my first was an '01 929 and my second is an '06 Ninja 636 (currently in the shop)

Anyway, just a quick introduction!

Nice bike and welcome to the site. How long of a riding season do you normally have up there?

Welcome to the site. We have a bit longer season than you (Montana), but not much... I love the winter for my snowboarding obsession, but I wish I could ride longer!!! Only have 2-3 more months of berable weather left here.

I can ride all year, and fill my skiing/snowboarding obsession. not to brag or anything. On the plus side you have some great hunting up there.

I used to live in New Mexico (East side of the Sandia Mountains). I guess the winters aren't too terrible, but where I lived it was still pretty cold and snowed every now and then. And yes, the hunting is great up here. Haven't been in a while though. Sure don't miss NM, thats all I know.
