Hey from way down south
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I was born in and currently live in Memphis TN, home of Elvis, the blues, and a lackluster bike community 
Just picked up a used black 2006 cbr 1000 rr. It's my 4th bike, I got my first bike new back in 2001, it was a cbr 600 f4i. I guess this makes my 9th year of riding street bikes, wow it's crazy how fast the time (and miles) fly by. I also spent a year in Japan, and got a chance to ride there a little too. Anyway, Nice meeting everyone, hope to post a few pictures of the bike later, but the owner left her dirty so she needs a good washing first.
