Congrads!

400 miles...in one night? heh Yep, you sound quite exited. After like 300 miles, I would have said enough.

On my bike, the manual was under the rear passeger seat. I don't know where it would be on your bike.

Helmet: on my bike you do so by the rear seat. Under the seat, you would hook it and then lock the seat down. I don't do that because I don't want a helmet against my custom paint. I don't want swirls, or marks, or scratches.

Well, enjoy and think safe (which means be paranoid of cars )

Congrats and welcome to the board! Post up some pics when you get a chance. As was said previously the manual was under the rear seat on the right side of mine - tool pack on the left side. On the 1000RR there's a looped wire in the tool pack that you use to lock the helmet. You put the loops through the helmet d-rings then secure to the post under the seat and lock the seat back. I usually just throw mine on the bars. Nobody wants my ratty old HJC
