hey i'm new, be gentle!
Hi everyone i'm Waylander, i currently ride a Hyosung cruise 2, i know hardly a sportsbike, but i get great mileage around town and 125cc's are great fun and its all ive got until my cbr is fixed. The reason ive joined this forum is becuase i am working on restoring my 1989 CBR600f hurricane. Was in a minor accident and the fairing got totalled. So i thought that it was a good time to work out a few things with it and restore it to its former glory. The engine is sound, ive sorted out most of the electrics and ive straightened the sub frames. But i am struggling to find fairing at an affordable price. So really i'm joining up to find out what you guys have done to your old cbrs. and before its said i wont streetfighter it. If anyone has any advice, whether i can put more modern fairing on or a website of a reasonable fairing manufacturer who still does 1989 cbr moulds i would really appreciate it. thanks

Welcome to the Forum !
The 600F's a great bike - sometimes fairings pop up on e-Bay.
A workshop manual from www.blackbears.ru may help.
Enjoy what we have to offer !

Giday Sam and welcome aboard the CBRForum mate
You have a great project underway I see. ..
The fairing for these older CBR's are an expensive job if you can find them..
Even the new unpainted ones that are available are pretty costly and then you have to fit and paint them anyway.. I cant remember the URL of those at this moment though ?
You may be better to focus on finding good used ones from parted out bike ....on Ebay and alike..
Enjoy your rebuild ...I recon its fun to do what you are doing mate ..
Throw a few project pics up for us to check out ..
Drop into Off Topic for some fun :-)
