Default Hello New Member from NC

Hello to everyone! I'm going in the morning to pick up my first CBR1000. I'm so excited! Driving up to Va to pick up a 2008 Red/Black with 3K miles. Got a pretty good deal on it. Just sold my 2008 Kawasaki ZX14 so I hope it will not disappoint. The 14 is one mean machine but it is a little on the heavy side so I'm sure the CBR will be a welcome blast to ride. My previous rides before the 14 were a 2006 GSXR1000,2007 M109R,2008 GSXR1000,and a 2008 Hayabusa. Hope to learn more about the CBR!

Hey

Welcome to CBRF!!

I really do believe, despite your bigger bike experience, that you will find the CBR1000RR

an amazing machine with agility that more than makes up for any lack of power,

imagine that a CBR1000RR feeling lacking in power ... nah, I can't

Enjoy the forums and stay safe!!

Thanks guys. I can't really get it out and ride yet because I'm waiting on my plates to get here but I did sneak a ride up the road and back the day I brought it home! Although it does lack the bottom end of the 14 that damn mid range kick in the *** more than makes up for that!! What a rush!! Very nice indeed. So far I'm well pleased with it.
