hello everybody
Hey Everybody,
I just picked up a 2006 honda f4i blue and black 720 miles. I must say awesome bike. I started out on a 2003 sv650s copper loved that bike but decided to go the cruiser route and ended up with a 08 triumph speedmaster nice cruiser but missed the fun I had on the sv. Always wanted a f4i, so I finally found one and bit the bullet. I still need to sell my triumph though before the wife kills me. I don't understand how people say for newbies to start out on a f4i. It has power even though the sv was a 650 it was a different kinda of power and more reasonable for someone starting out in mc/ing. later hohg

Hi there and welcome to cbrf! Sounds like you have quite the collection there. Definitely feel free to post pictures of your new f4i in the f4i section so we can enjoy it with you. Glad to have you with us
Thanks . No collection I sold the sv to get the triumph. Now I have to sell the triumph to keep the f4i. I rode the f4i when I brought it and it began to rain cats n dogs. So its dirty , and I had to go to work. So as soon as shes clean ill post pics. Got the bike for $ 4500.00. I feel I got a good deal. Later hohg
720 miles?...that's incredible! Congrats!
Nothing wrong w/ the SV, got one in my garage as well, in addition to my F4 & RC51. Anyway, you'll love the F4i. As you've recognized, its a dif beast compared to the torque of the SV. It will take a little time for you to get used to the inline-4 but you should be fine. The downshift to engine breaking ratio will be a little higher compared to the SV but you'll get used to it.
