Default Hello From Dallas

Hi, I've just signed up for this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I've been reading the content here and found it interesting, funny, and in many cases helpful. Many moons ago I raced bicycles at a competitive level and always wanted to have a motorcycle. So, I waited until the ripe young age of 37 to start. Jumping in with both feet, I started with a Honda 919 followed less than a month later with a Ducati Monster s2r 1000. Now, I have recently purchased a 2008 CBR1000rr. I've always wanted to own bikes of this variety and am having a lot of fun.

What do I hope to get out of this forum? That's pretty simple I'd like to ask as many dumb questions as I can, and possibly add something worthwhile to someone where possible. I'm curious about the tech side of how bikes work and very concerned about safety as well. I do know that I have way too much horsepower in my CBR for someone who has only been riding motorcycles for a couple of months.... but I made my purchase after a mountain of research.... So, I hope to learn as much here as I can to keep things in perspective.

Looking forward to dialog with everyone here.

Chris
