Talking Hello all... Newly christened CBRF owner

Hi all,

Have been riding bikes since I was 13 years of age (that would be a touch over 35 years ago ). Have ridden a variety of bikes ranging from old Japanese cruisers to several sport bikes, a Ducati Monster and a Gen1 Vmax. Currently riding a Honda VTX1800C and just added the 1996 CBR1000F. Contemplated an R1 and R6 but they are just not the right fit for me and my aged bones

Other than some minor signs of wear it's in pretty decent shape for the year, pretty much bone stock except for a sweet sounding set of Delkevic pipes.

Looking forward to some spirited touring on this beast of a bike.

Hey whats up. Welcome to the board. Def cant go wrong riding a multitude of bikes. Theres a good presence for the Cane here. Its funny because short of being back in the 90's, I never see them around my way. Not for sale or riding anywhere, but it seems like they must of made a ton. Would rather like to get my hands on one. Hear they are monsters. Post some pictures up if you get a chance, love some eye candy. Cheers friend. and thanks for joining. Ride safe.

Rhanks for the welcome. You definitely don't see many on the road or for sale here in Nova Scotia. Looking forward to putting some miles on this one, in pretty nice condition for a '96.

Is ther a way to add a pic without a web link?

Maybe the owners just rarely like to sell them

I am not sure about the privledges for junior members. But click go advanced next to the send message at the bottom then look for additional options below. There is a attachment upload section there that you can use so long as it allows you. But you may have to have 100 posts.

You could also get a direct link (this would be the image link right click copy image link) from something like tinypic to create a direct link, then wrap that link [IMG]Direct link[*/IMG] Remove the * though.

Default A couple of fun Hondas :)

My '96 CBR1000F and '02 VTX1800C... A couple of fun Hondas

It was snowing when I rode the CBRF home yesterday and the goopy looking crud was actually a protective oil-file the PO had on it as he stored it in a shed. I keep'em both warm and toasty i nthe garage so teh goopy looking crud has been cleaned up

I'm thinking it's going to be a fun Riding season in 2017!

Hi welcome to the forum.

Doesn't look like you've got riding weather right now, but that's a nice looking pair sitting in your garage
