Default hello to all

New to the site and wanted to introduce myself. I've ridden for years and after a few years away from bikes, my wife suggested I buy one to combat high gas prices last spring. My response? 'Hell yeah I will!' I picked up a used 2003 CB919 April '08 followed by a new 2007 RWB VFR in July and then two weeks ago my wife found a 1996 Concours but after a test ride, I just could not do it. I jumped on a clean, low mileage (a little over 10,000) 1996 CBR 1000F. I got the CBR home yesterday so better pictures will follow after a good detailing. Love the site! Ride safe, JD

PS - Here's a few of my girls resting.

That old F'er is mint, leanit... Very nice.

Almost as nice as mine....

Just kidding, you know... looks like you found a diamond in the rough..
That thing is clean as hell! And somebody only put 770 miles/yr on it??!! HOW!!!??? Why??!!
Guess it doesn't matter, right? Your gain...

Welcome to the forums, and like Steve said... check in at the Hurricane section. Good folks...

Hello leanit, I'll agree with Speedemon, sounds like you've got a keeper, lol. That Blue/White bike with the single-sided swingarm is gorgeous. Is that aftermarket?

Default RWB VFR question

Welcome to CBRF
The RWB VFR is a 2007 model I bought new last year. Dealer had the wheels powder coated white. Since then, I have added Scorpion slip-ons, k&N air filter, zero gravity double bubble wind screen, cruise, etc. I get more comments on that bike than you can believe.
I had a 68 year old Harley rider asked me if I would sell her last week. I explained the ergos would be a little rough for him and he laughed and replied, "Hell son, I ain't going to ride it. I plan on putting it in the garage to look at." Then when I quoted him a price, he said I was crazy and he could buy a brand new one cheaper than that. I assured him he could but after the add-ons, he would have more in it than I did in mine. It does draw attention but it needs another 45-50 hp to be perfect. Thanks, JD

Welcome aboard leanit.
With such a nice stable of bikes you are very welcome to post as many pics as you can...especially the VFR!
I do have to say....I luv the Anniv. edition and having the wheels powdercoated white just totally completed the look. Gave me a boner as soon as I saw the pic....well done!

Okay hondajunkie...your wish is my command. I rode the VFR to work today (80 miles) and when I got home, grabbed my camera and went for a ride to snap a few of the CBR.
Don't get me wrong, I love my bikes; hell I love nearly all brands and styles, but that big black beast sets me off. The way it rides, how tight it is after 13 years and even that weird paint scheme. I think it was designed by the German Police.
So let me try to show some more pictures of my girls for HJunkie. Later, JD

Default more of the girls

Well gang, here are some of the VFR. I have added a zero gravity double bubble, scorpion slip-ons, throttle lock, Gen-Mar risers and a few others. I wish the pictures would show larger but if you double click, I believe they'll enlarge. Thanks, JD

Default A few of the CB919

Hang in there, I'm nearly done. Here is the CB919 in all her glory. She is a little plain but what a blast to ride. Look an opening in traffic, think and bam, your 20 feet past that opening. I commute on this and have added a new wind screen, new Metzler Z6 tires and a throttle lock. One great ride and as dependable as a Timex. Ride safe, JD
