Default Hello

Hi everyone. My name is Tom and recently I got a great deal on a 2004 CBR600F4i with 11K miles on it. I just got done with the MSF course and I am pumped to ride her. It is my first bike, which does have few things that need attention, but nothing major that would prevent me from riding it.

thanks a lot. the rear cowl has few cracks and im going to replace it, but im wondering if i can use the single-seat cowl on this bike. i'd say it would have a better look. what do you think?

I can't tell if your subframe (the rear metal frame under the seats) has been switched or if the previous owner somehow fitted that cowl on the newer frame. 2001-03: split seat ~ 2004-06: banana seat. So I would make a decision based on that. More often than not, people modify it over to the split seat, rather than go from split seat to the single seat. Imo, split seats look better.

im not sure either. how do i find that out? but i see the previous owner custom fitted the rear cowl because the frame was drilled into.

Sounds to me like you still have the stock subframe for your year bike. That being said, your single seat should be a direct bolt-on. If in doubt just take some pics & post them in another thread
