Cool Greetings from KOREA!!! land of the morning calm...well..used to be..

hi everyone! my name's dave and i'm the proud owner of a 2000 cbr 600f(4?)!!! ^^

it's my first big bike (scooters only aaaages ago) so im a new rider.

yes. i know some are already shaking their heads. i HAVE read as much info and originally i was gonna get a kawasaki 400xr.. but i found out the guy selling had "altered" certain important information....LIKE THE BIKE HAVING HAD AN ACCIDENT BEFORE!!!...so.. cancelled that deal.. and was
chagrining at this terrible turn of events, and lo and behold...

someone had put up this beauty for sale!

price was high, but do-able.. low mileage (about 12K miles) of course suspicious at first, but saw it, turned on the engine..sounded well, consistent, no high rpm sound (unlike the damn kawa whose fan was wailing) idling well... so.. somehow the thought that someone would steal this beauty really struck a nerve so..

finally i got my first bike! woohoo!!! yes. it's 600cc so that's like 200cc more than i originally intended but ppl tell with my height and girth ("weight") ..it's the right size.. but of course i'm gonna ride it like it's TNT...(it could explode and kill me in a single moment)

as a testament to that.. even tho i've had it 2 weeks now.. it's been just sitting in the parking lot cuz im still working on getting that damn license..
the worse part is that in my country.. the riding schools ONLY teach u enuff to pass the test. not learn how to ride the bike actually (it seems most people who get the license already know how to ride..so it's just a formality for them...eh go figure)

SO! at the prospect of NOT finding a decent riding school in my area, and because korean is NOT my mother tongue but rather english.....

PRESTO! IM SOOO HAPPY TO BE HERE!!! PLEASE BE PATIENT WITH ME AND HOPE TO REALLY LEARN A LOT FROM U GUYS!!! ^^

ANYONG HASEYO! (means "hello" in korean)

i would have to say that geographically speaking, we have some beautiful mountains, lots of massive rock just jutting out...

besides that.. well... every city kinda feels the same now to me. maybe i've lived here so long i've been accustomed to everything~ LOL
