Default great deal on 99 cbr900rr

i was shopping on craigs list back in november and spotted a 1999 cbr900rr for sale for 1500.00 the bike has 8234 miles on it and not a scratch on it. plus the owner gave me his maintianence schedule for itand took great care of it. what im wondering it did i get as good a deal as i think i did? i have a 2009 cbr1000 that i love but this 99 is insane for power and i love the looks more than my o9.

I paid 1180 for my 96, and it had been laid down on both sides, I don't think I got a great deal but its what I wanted. So I say you did better than I did.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

???

First, welcome aboard. As far as hp, some specs that I just Googled says that a stock '99 cbr900rr make 125 hp. The '09 1000rr makes a lot more than that.

most seat-of-the-pants-ometers will indicate that the older 900's have more umph than newer literbikes; even though peak hp doesn't compare, the older motors have a lower redline and make their power closer to the everyday riding range.
