Good Morning Forum members,

I am looking for a fuel tank for my bike.. Here in the USA, they only seem to have the grand prix red.. I am looking for the matte black fuel tank to change my bike from the USA Grand Prix to the EUR matte black.. Please, if anyone knows of a vendor of where i can get one, please let me know.. I have exhausted all my options here.. Partzilla, Bikebandit, no one has it..

You might want to include the year and model of bike you have. That might make it easier for someone.

I have a 2019 Honda CBR650 ABS model in Gran Prix Red.. I have ordered the matte fairings to duplicate the European color but need the fuel tank since there is no cover for this particular tank..

Does that model have a metal fuel tank? I'm thinking that you're going to have to paint it. If you don't want to change the color permanently, then Plasti-Dip might be an option.

 

Unfortunately, it does have a metal tank.. and i was going to try to avoid painting it so in case i wanted to put the original color back on..

it is that the only place i can get something like this it seems is overseas and the shipping cost is astronomical..

That's the nice thing about the PlastiDip, it just peels off when you don't want it anymore. Good luck.

 

So let me get this straight.. you are saying that i can get the metal gas tank plastidipped?? and this is resilient to heat?? and when i am done, then i can just peel it off?? Where can something like this be done?? I am game..

Yes to your questions. Watch the video! It's very easy and, if you mess up, peel it off and try again!
