Hey all. New to the forums and the bike. I'm getting a genuine Smokin' Joe edition 1994 CBR600f F2 from my friend for a grand at the end of the month. Far from tidy, it was a track hack at some point and has gone down. 80,000 miles but still very strong. I had an FZR250 which I had for 5 years and my sister had an MC22 CBR250 which was an awesome bike and put Honda's near the top of my next bike list. My friend let me ride the F2 the day he got it and that one ride just stuck with me. Super sports position is a bit uncomfortable for me plus my mrs likes to go on the back, I had a race cowl on the FZR so she couldn't get on plus it was tiny. The F2 is great - sporty, upright and can go 2 up. Laws in my country mean I need a full motorbike license to ride this bike which I'm getting.

I'm from New Zealand. Only pic. Will try and save these fairings since they are/were original. Ebay muffler sounds great. Think it has a k+n filter too. Mechanically it is A+, no cam tensioner sound when I rode it a good few months back, just due for a service. Clutch slipping at upper RPM's so I'll be changing that. My friend hasn't used it since he got a VFR800

Another step towards it, did a ride forever course today, tutor said I'm good to go for my full MC license, booking it for tomorrow morning, hopefully in the next few days. I gave my friend some cash, he gave me the keys. Should have filmed it! Idles perfectly, no cam chain noise, or valve train chatter, clean power delivery as far as I dared turn the throttle. Actually its got 60,000 miles, so just under 100,000 km's. Rides like it has maybe quarter of that distance.

Thanks for the pics Jo.

Those fairings look as though they could be repaired and worth doing as she runs so well.

Good luck with the test.

Was hoping to be done by start of Feb with the license stuff but the only day I can do it is Monday the 5th. Having done that course I know what to focus on when riding mean time so I'll take pass it easy as. Sorry guys I should have cleared this a little earlier - I'm Alec - the rider. Joe is the CBR on account of the fairings.
