FINANCIAL\Insurance QUESTIONS
Hey everyone,
I've been lurking among these forums ever since I have heard of the CBR600RR. Im currently having trouble figuring out this insurance thing. I want to buy a cbr600rr 03-05 and I will take a loan out for most of it. Now the problem is, I have heard that insurance for a new rider on a sport bike is roughly gonna cost me 2k per year. I would like to know if that is the price that I may pay and if there are any ways that I can lower this sum. I know i get 10% off if I take the safety course but are there any other ways that can lower the insurance?

well there are many variables when it comes to what you will pay... where you live, how old you are, size of engine, etc. and since you will be financing the bike you are required to get full coverage (as opposed to just liability). if you pay cash and own it outright it'll be up to you what coverage you get. best of luck!
oh, and welcome to the forum

Well if its financed the bank is goin to want it covered in full.Where as if u do buy it outright as mentioned above. You wont have to carry full coverage.I bought my 03 used so i have just liability..and pay next to nothing but i have a rather clean record and im older than i like to admit.So..there are a few things to think about when researching this...but best of luck...and congrats on the RR...we know u will make the right decision.
It depends on who he finances through, I financed through Honda and I dont have full coverage and insurance is only 50 bucks a month and I financed the extra GAP insurance so if you do finance MAKE SURE you get that.
