Default Evening all, from sunny Berkshire.

Hello all,

New to the site, recently purchased a lovely 2000 CBR600FX (I think it's that one - alloy frame, last of the carbed bikes). It appears to be an import, as the speedo reads up to 300, so unless it's some sort of turbo dragbike, the clocks are in Kph, not Mph...

Very pleased with the bike - having come from a mixed bag of bike ownership (SV's, Blackbird, Tiger, CB500 amongst many others), I can safely say it's the nicest I've ridden - just got back from a 130 mile run - nice mix of power, handling and comfort. Wish I'd bought one years ago, would've saved a fortune in chopping and changing bikes trying to find the right one.

Anyway, enough rambling. I'm off to sleep.

Congrats on getting your 2000 CBR. I have a 2000 F4 myself, great bike.

Good to have another member w/ some experience to add to the collective. ;-)

Evening all, from sunny Berkshire.-cbr.jpg

This is a pic of the bike taken by the previous owner - I haven't had time to get new pics yet, what with work and family.

Just refitted the baffles to the CCC can, was way too loud without it. It's a nice bike, has scottoiler, hugger, fabbri screen, bungs and lots more. Really pleased with it.

Unfortunately it has now developed a ticking noise at idle, and a whirring rattley sound at speed, so it looks like a new CCTL is in order!
