Default CBR600F4 or R6: which should I buy?

I am looking at a 2000 CBR600 F4 and a 2002 R6. The R6 has 12k miles and the CBR has 29k. I believe in terms of power and weight, they are almost similar.

Is there any other factor I need to consider before making my choice? What is the difference between the handling of these two bikes? I will be using the bike mainly for commute. In that case, which has a more comfortable riding position?

Any other inputs are most welcome.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Here are some numbers that might help you in your decision. Me presonally, I think I would go with the R6 for the reason that it's fuel injected and more modern looking. The F4 does seem to score well up against the R6 but other peoples opinions shouldn't completely reflect your decision. Try riding both bike and see which you feel most comfortable on.

i just got an 04f4i 2 weeks ago, sweeeeeeet bike. I really like hondas, but the 2000 has 29k, starting to get up there. The R6 has 12k, i mean whats your price range? I can imagine the R6 is selling for somewhere around 4500 or so and the honda should be no more than 4,000. My buddy has an 01 R6 with 13K and he rode my 02F4i 2 nights ago and was thoroughly impressed, said it was unbelievable shifted perfectly and was quite a bit faster than his R6. It does have less than 3,000 miles on it so im sure that has something to do with it. If your looking at an 02 R6 i would look at some 02 F4i's there incredible machines.

I thought the r6 didn't get fuel injection until '03?

Either way, among the 2 choices, I would go with the r6.

Thanks to all of you for all the valuable information.
camaro68- you are right...the R6 got fuel injection from '03

anyway...since cost was more of a factor for me, I happened to check out an F3 too and ended up buying it. It's a 1996 Smokin' Joes Limited Edition with only 9400 miles on it. Very nicely maintained bike. Will post some pictures soon...
