Hello bikers ive got a cbr400rr nc23 1992 its been sat for 3months ish while ive been doing my test its was running sweet ive been starting it every so often but all of a sudden its stopped running ive changed the fuel checked for spark ordered new plugs that come tomorrow anything else I can try thanks

 

Hi Benji, welcome to the forum

You say you've been starting the bike occasionally, but not riding it.

Is it kept on a trickle charger? Starting the bike but not riding it will eventually deplete the battery charge, as the charging system only works above about 2000RPM.

Also the plugs can become fouled, decreasing the strength of the spark even further.

I'd fit the new plugs (as you've bought them anyway) and make sure the battery is fully charged and a good one.

Thanks buddy yes its kept on a trickle charger most of the time im gonna try the new plugs and ive just ordered a new fuel pump as well I'll let you know how i get on thanks
