CBR Newbie looking for pricing help in SoCal
Hey All,
I'm a newbie to the CBR Forum but not new to the Sportbike Arena. My first bike was a Kawi Ninja 600R, second bike was a Yamaha FZR600. I've always wanted a Honda CBR 600 and now I have a chance to pick one up. I live in Southern California and have been searching the forum but any information that I have found has not been in my area. I've done the ebay searches, the Craigslist searches and it seems that I'm getting a good price but wanted some input from some CBR Forum Members.
The bike is a 2004 CBR 600 F4i with 22,000 miles thats completely stock. He is looking for $3500, but after talking with him, I think I can get it for around $3000. They said maintenance has been done on the bike when needed but not sure if he has the paperwork. I'm going to be seeing the bike this afternoon. I've attached a picture (Date is wrong on picture, didn't know how to change). Thanks for the help!!

good things i see about that bike for you as buying used:
very clean
tank protector, tank bag - typically signifies someone that was very interested in keeping the bike clean and scratchless
factory undertail still on the bike - usually the first "mod" done by enthusiasts - I interpret that as the owner was interested more in just riding the bike rather than being a showoff
stock exhaust - again a sign of a bike that has been largely unmolested by a previous owner.
bike looks clean, and for ~$3k, not a bad deal.

Thanks for all the input. Sealed the deal about an hour ago and took a 45min ride. All I can say is, next to my wife, I've found my dream. We started the negotiations at $3000, found a few scuff marks on the stickers ( from tie downs) and agreed on $2800. Rides like a dream, well maintained couldn't see any obvious defects. Good thing It's starting to rain, my wife would be going dinner without me.
Thanks again...
