Thanks kilgoretrout. I am at the stage now where I am going to start prototyping the framing and stuff that will hold the motor and batteries. When I get that done, I'll post a pic.

According to the manufacturer of the motor, when I apply 96 volts to it, it'll launch like a rocket. I don't see anything wrong with that plan.
