Cool Bruna the cbr 600rr

Yesterday I first laid eyes on to Bruna, I fell in love instantly, so today me and Bruna got married

Bruna is a 2008 honda cbr 600rr ill post pictures when I figure out how to from my iphone.

This is my first bike and this was my first time riding.

Don't worry my friend was friend was helping me, he's been riding for awhile, and was teaching me the friction point and balancing the bike and giving it a little gas.

I gave myself a little scare when learning how to give it gas, and quickly let off the throttle and went flying forward and racking myself on the gas tank

Well the real damage came later, getting too confident too quickly, I went to turn Bruna around, and went up the neighbors driveway and then on to the grass, I quickly brake and clutched in, and thought I'd just walk it forward, unfortunately that didn't work, and I couldn't keep Bruna up (she's a heavy girl) and she fell over frame sliders took most of the damage and broke a mirror off =\

I realized today that my respect for super sports wasn't great enough, I still love it to death, and haven't scared myself! And look forward to learning!

Hopefully I can figure out how to post pics soon

Ouch, quite the start I must say! You're going to get around 680 people telling you to take the MSF course in the next 24 hours which could be a good thing cause as i've understood you guys don't actually have to drive a motorbike license ? Most use photobucket to post pics, but any pic sharing site will do. Upload your pics there and link em here.

Now that you've gotten the mandatory first spill out of the way (trust me, we've all done it) you probably already noticed the rr has heaps of power delivered very precisely, it will take some practicing but I'm sure you get the hang of it. The REAL danger comes when you THINK you can do it so take it easy and take your time, it's 100 times better to walk away in shame than ride away in an ambulance. Also buy and wear good quality riding gear, always, even when taking that little spin around the block cause no matter how careful you are they just might save you from a lifelong paralyse cause that punk kid in his 240sx was too busy texting his girl in that crossroads!

Anyway, make yourself at home, and look around! You'll find we're quite the bunch here! But steer clear of the hurricane saloon, those guys can be a little... eccentric

hi and welcome
sorry to hear about your little mishap, as said take the course, get the gear and take it easy, get over to the 600rr section to say hello, and if you copy and paste the img on photobucket your pics should come straight up

Welcome to the CBR Forum,

And take the MSF course................ And wear All The Gear All The Time (ATGATT). We love new members - and love them to be around for a long time.

That is one beautiful bike.

Cheers, SB

Welcome to CBRF! You laid it down - and now that's out of the way - we've all been there (at least it was in the grass, right?!)

Welcome to CBRF... Sorry to hear about the drop, but to hear you tell it, it sounds like a little spill early on humbles one and may save you from a gnarly wreck later...
