new dude
hey everyone my name is Tom I live in upstate ny. just bought my first motorcycle. I've wanted a cbr since I was young and next week I take home a white/red 2001 600 f4i. I'm looking foward to using posted diys and sharing my experiences with the f4i as I start my novice journey on my motorcycle
hi and welcome tom
congrats on the f4i, get over to the f4i section to say hello and pick their brains, get some pics up when you get your bike (you can use photobucket), and seeing as its your first bike take it easy and make sure you have all your gear sorted

Welcome to the CBR Forum Tom,
Take your time learning to ride, do the safety courses and wear all the right gear. Riding is something that will bring a smile to your dial every time you throw a leg across a bike. It's being there for the long run that really takes skill.
Post some pictures when you can - we love pictures!
Cheers, SB

Thanks Demon i have a photobucket but forgot my password ill just have to get used to flickr. and sebastian, thank you for the warm welcome haha. the bike has 24,000 miles, only looking to upgrade in areas that enhance handling and safetey. i guess i have a respectable "fear" towards the bike and what it can do. ill be taking the msf this spring for sure. Im gonna see if i can get my girlfriend to do it with me haha ill see how that goes
Welcome to CBRF! The F4i is a great first bike for you. Don't be scared of your motorcycle - just understand what its capable of. Taking the MSF is a definite good idea. Take your time to ease into riding and you'll enjoy it. Have fun!
