Well, I managed to make the figure 8 turns inside the box but it was within the boundries of the solid wider lines in the ERC, not the smaller dashed ones in the BRC. I think there is a 2-3 ft difference in width while the length is still the same.

I'm pretty good at using the clutch friction zone/rear brake and also my balance is good from years of practicing trackstands on a bicycle (comes in handy at stoplights). I tried navigating the narrow lines of the smaller box 5-6 times but my '08 1000rr just would not turn that sharp, no matter how slow I went or how much I leaned without falling on my side. The instructor said all they make us do in the ERC class is complete the maneuver within the wider lines anyway. Maybe I'll go back out this weekend and give it one more try.
