This is my first post here so a bit of a story to introduce myself. I bought a new CBR1000F in 1990 to celebrate getting a new job. Nine months later it was spirited away in the night by persons unknown. :-(
The nearest to new I could get with the insurance payout was a 10 month old VFR750. (Another great bike.) This served me well for a number of years before I tried something different, a Ducati ST4 and then an ST4S that I still have. A friend is visiting later in the year to go to the Isle of Man TT races. He found a bike on eBay. He sent the money and asked me to buy and fettle it for him to use when he visits. The bike is a 1987 CBR1000F-H so by a bit of a roundabout route I have had a chance to reacquaint myself with a model that I didn’t get chance to know properly back in 1990. J
