Default Am i paying too much

Been riding adventure bikes for last 8 years or so. Starting to miss my old 900rr and 954. Looking at older bikes as I prefer less electronics. Found an immaculate 04 cbr1000 under 5K miles all stock. Is $5,500 too much for a bike of this age?

There are tons of variables but one of the biggest ones is what do similar bikes In your area go for? That should be a pretty good indication.

I wouldn't pay that for a first year 1000rr. But as Ham said, it depends on the market in your area.

That was kind of the point of my question are the early cbr1000 worth that much compared to a few thousand more for newer bike.

I don't think so. The 1000rr came a long way in the years following.

Besides, the lower fairing is ugly on those. I think anyway.....
