93 cbr 1000 f hurricane
what's up everyone? i'm the proud owner of a 93 honda cbr 1000 f hurricane... a classic in my mind. my brother - in - law practically gave it to me and it's mint, but he hasn't started it in 2 years. i emptied out the old gas, put new gas / startron in it and also put in a new battery...the bike appears to be running good now. the service guy at the dealer through on some new dunlop d208 tires , flushed clutch fluid , flushed brake fluid, etc... and said i should clean my carbs out...any tips, pointers, etc.:??? i don't want to pay them to do that when i know i can do it myself and save some money...i heard something about if you keep the 4 carbs together you dont have to worry about synchronizing them .>>> is that true>??? if anyone has some time please shoot me a line!!! thanks alot!!! i'll get some pics up soon

Welcome to the board! Taking them off together just makes it easier ... and keeps ya from losing itty bitty bolts and spacers. Sync it anyway though because the disassembly and reassembly process will change things a bit. And because a properly sync'd bike cranks soooo much easier ...

Welcome! Don't forget that's a super fast bike Please take the MSF course "Motorcycle Safety Foundation". It will take place of the Riding part of your Motorcycle License when you go to the DMV so you just walk in and get your M! but even better is the knowledge that you know what to do in any situation on the road, the information is invaluable. That's a lot of bike for a starter if you havent ridden anything previous
