Hey guys I'm riding a 94 repsol 900rr, and I have been thinking of biting the bullet and buying a new R1. I love my bike butI want something a lil more flashy with some more hit, amI on the right track??

 

I just went from an 02 954 to an 06 1000 rr and i can tell you it's definately worth it. Just the simple changes like a hydrolic clutch to the increased low end power. I loved my 954 but now that i have my 4 year old newer bike the 954 should be ridden by one of the Geigo cavemen.

 

Not if you want to belong to a CBR forum! Gees! hahaha j/k The R1 is an incredible bike. Irode my buddie's 05a couple of times now and all I can say is WOW! Too much for me at the moment. Anyway do what you feel is best and makes you happy. Good luck.

welcome...same here. i have a 929 and im thinking about switching bike pretty soon. i like R1 and 1000RR , but i think 1000RR got ugly body. i've lookingfor an 05 R1, but i wont sell my 929. i rode my friends 07 R1 and 07 1000RR, jeez R1 is sohard to keep the front end on the ground. 1000RR is no near R1.

 

Well a buddy has an 02 busa he wants to sell for 7 grand, but other than me likeing the way they look, my buds all swear by 600's and 1000's I dunno what to do at this point lol. If i don't stay Honda Im thinking of the R1 then Bud tosses his busa in the mix.

 

I think just the jump from a 13 year old bike to one that is closer to the newest technology will make a huge difference, forget about flash or anything else. Although this is a Honda crowd, you can't go wrong with a Yamaha. Have fun shopping.

 

The R1 is an amazing bike, you won't have any buyers remorse.
