2007 Suzuki GS500
Hi,
I am trying to lower the front forks to my GS500 and am finding it difficult to find out how to do it and what parts I need for the mechanic.
I need to lower them a total of 3".
I am 5'3" tall and lowering the seat 4" has made the back end walk on me. So I was told to lower the forks.
This is becoming a pain in the bumm.
Are there springs in the front forks?
And if there is,,, can the springs be cut?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Yes there are springs in the front forks but you shouldn't cut them.
Depending on your handle bar set up you can undo your forks and slide them up a little. You might need different clamps (extension) and longer bolts if your robbing a good bit. A simple trick but watch your suspension travel. If you can't gain enough with that, there are other ways with different linkage arms but should really be done by someone experienced with spanners. All this will upset what Mr Suzuki planned but you'll get there in the end.
