Why is CBR forum so slow? (not the people, the website itself)

If you have different browsers (like avant) you can block out scripts. I have to do that and the site is quick. If I enable scripts it boggs down. Play around with the settings -- depending what you surf you might not be able to load other sites -- but its a switch on/off that you can select when surfing here.

Good tip there Freakster ..........use Orca ........an Avant derived browser
myself on some occasions

Yeah I found I hated IE very early on. Sometimes I even bounce between avant, orca and thunderbird depending on sites I'm surfing.

Thanks, turned off scripts in Fire Fox and loading quick now.

I use Firefox and have ad blocker installed n the site still boggs for me fairly often

Check the scripts too...avant you can do pictures, ads, javascripts, active x etc etc - might help.

Firefox has a addon NoScripts, I am giving it a try
