Wow.. why is it that every time I look away...something cool happens!

Rob, glad you liked the "Mall Ninja" site. That guy is pretty dam funny. I've ruined at least one keyboard reading that stuff (and the replies) when it all started 8yrs ago. Funny stuff.
I like the line "If plan A involves taking multiple .338Lapua shots to the back, you should probably think about a plan B"
There are countless others, but that one was on the top of my head.

As far as your thoughts on guns/crime etc. I understand what you're saying. I'm active on several other gun related boards, and believe me when I say you aren't the first person I've spoken to on this subject. I appreciate the fact that you at least have some intelligent thought behind what you say. My sister, as I've mentioned before, is another one who does. She's a PHD, and definately has an above average intelligence. People's beliefs vary a lot on this, and that's what makes life great! I love my sister very much. We disagree on this subject. Hell, we disagree on almost everything!
My thoughts fall right in line with CBRiderNevada on this one, but I know many people who don't feel the same way. Nothing is going to change the way I feel about it, and nothing may change the way you feel.
It's just like religion, or politics, or abortion, or gay marriage, etc. etc. etc. Steve and Pete are right. No point in arguing about it.
I take no offense, and actually appreciate hearing other people's views on this subject (and all the other subjects posted above, for that matter). People just get too emotional and crazy when they feel threatened. Dam shame, really. I like to learn!
I hate it when people say "Let's agree to disagree", but we're gonna have to.

Hmmm, someone didn't read the "code of conduct" located in the New Member section

Please remember that this is not a political forum. And we solve no real worldwide issues other than maybe why a bike won't start. I would ask that you think of threads like different TV channels. Don't like the current show, change the channel. It would take 100% of my time if I decided to voice my opinion to the TV networks every time they air a show I disagree with ... so I change the channel and move on.

In the past we used to lock these types of pissing contests but it seems that only leads to a few dictating what everyone can discuss. Now we tend to give a friendly warning nudge and then edit out unnecessary posts and members.

Mr. Chainstretcher... you are the man!
Steve....you are too.....to a lesser degree...

Seriously, though...You're both spot on. Thank you much.

On to guns. Lately, with the ammo shortges in this country, I've been shooting a lot more .22cal. I reload tons of .223, but even that has been getting expensive so I've switched to my .22LR selections. I like .22LR a lot. It's fun, and about as cheap as it gets. Also widely available, and the fiancee and the boy really get into it.
Here is a pic of a couple of my .22LR pistols. Up top is the classic Ruger MKII Target in stainless. Below is actually a Glock 21 (.45ACP) with a .22LR conversion kit by Advantage Arms. Neat little kit, really, and is an excellent trainer.

You better not, shadow!
I just got this one a couple months ago. I had been looking for this one for quite a while. I specifically wanted the SS MKII Target with the bull barrel. I just didn't want to pay almost $600 for it from the local shop.
My buddy had the exact same one when we were younger, and I loved it. I gave him specific directions to call me if he ever wanted to part with it, but we lost touch for a bit, and he sold it to someone else!

Then, I saw this one, and the guy only wanted $300. I was first in line for it, and there were 5 or 6 others behind me...hoping I woldn't follow through. But I did. The guy was really nice. He's a police officer down in Virginia. He even drove it up here to me and delivered it!
It shoots great. I installed the geen dot scope and Wiegand rail. Just put the dot on the target.....and squeeze! Just a great gun. Worth the wait.
