That thing is a beaut... good find. I'm trying my luck on and old bike buy today... not nice like that one though.

Interesting. We had a GS1150E here in the US around 1984, but it was based on the air-cooled GS1100 engine. The 1150 engines were bulletproof. Motorcycle magazines had all their writers learn drag racing on them. I haven't seen one in years.

Yours appears to have the air and oil-cooled GSXR engine. Or is it the GS engine with an oil cooler? By the way, I'm the original owner of a 79 GS1000E, that I can't BEAR to part with.

Hey there Slowpoke!

The GSX1100EF has the 1135cc motor, air cooled with an oil cooler mounted high. In the States they gave it the GS1150EF moniker. But it is the same motorcycle.



Downunder we just like to understate the size of things.................
