Yes Steve-o it would, but it could be anything from a frayed /cracked coil lead , to a blocked idle jet (which is what I think it is) or even a combination of the two..................
I'd pull the jets out, and clean the needle and seat units.........
Also check the air correction needles for dirt or bad adjustment.............
When did you last change the plugs...?
will stall when I pull the clutch in unless I keep it revved and it still bogs down
If it starts to splutter, and then dies at low revs, it sounds like carbs to me.
Specifically a needle and seat in the float bowl which is stuck open - when cold this would be OK but when hot the bike is overfuelling that cylinder, and flooding it, which would explain the plug fouling..........
All the symptoms are when the bike is hot - nothing when cold.
Or maybe it is also there when cold, but is not as noticeable..........???
