Cheers, SB
Hang on. I've just realized what's wrong in that pic.

Polar bears, Northern hemisphere.

Penguins, Southern hemisphere.

The only way that would work is if they all agreed to meet in the Falklands.

And after the whole H982FLK drama I have to conclude that is not a good option.

I see Bear brought reinforcements !
Maybe we'll have to import penguins to the arctic if the thaw keeps up.............

Insofar as the number plate thing is concerned maybe for a change Clarkeson will keep his opinionated cake hole shut !!
Deserved what he got IMHO !

It's fine to meet in the Falklands - who's going to stop you ? LoL
Malvinas - my hairy butt !

And my judgement's just fine Teeks.
It's my self-control that sometimes lets me down
But thanks for the concern.......................

A belated birthday greeting Teeks.

Just remember the birthday present thing works both ways, maybe you could treat her to a new set of motorcycle tires or similar when it's her birthday

I think in your case Shadow you get to say "My judgement's are just fine". Not many of us around here that have that privilege.

And thanks Hawkwind for your support, I'm starting to think the Good Lady Wife really needs a bike lifter for her birthday present in January.

Mind you, I remember some twenty years ago, she was singularly unimpressed when I bought some axle stands for her birthday.

Hasn't spoken to me since, excellent result I think.

Quote Not many of us around here that have that privilege.
A privilege or a curse - somebody has to do it...................
I wouldn't know a theodolyte from a dumpy level....................

The first present I bought for my Lady Wife was a 9mm automatic.
I guess I got it right, she's still here 18 years on.............
AND she has her own tool kit to work on her car
A special lady..........

Maybe it says something about where we live.........LoL

Probably right Shadow, I never lock my car when I go into the supermarket (but I do take the precaution of sometimes taking the keys with me), and to be honest, the only time our garage door (and one of the entries to our house) gets locked is if we're away for a few days.

It's worked for us for over a decade, one of the joys of small town NZ.

But I guess our insurance company would take a pretty dim view of it if someone ever waltzed in and stole my pretty manky old second hand flat screen telly. (Which is probably worth less than my $500 excess anyway, so why do I really care??)

Lights on all around the house - daylight sensor units.
Electric gates
Electric garage doors
Garden burglar infra red beams + house alarm
Window film you can't see through that helps with smash and grab.
Stun guns in the cars
Numerous deadly weapons.
Security Company with armed response.
Here they like to derail electric gates, cut your phone, cut through your door gates and drive in a truck and take all your stuff. They often do it when people are home, they take them along in their cars they just hijacked................lucky if they don't shoot you.
Sounds far-fetched ?
Friday a policeman in the local police station was overpowered by a drunk driver in the cells, who took his firearm, shot him dead, wounded a fellow prisoner and shot two more policemen (wounded) before he was shot and killed. Funeral for the policeman was yesterday. RIP W/O John.

I wonder whether I could learn to be a farmer in S Island this late in life ?
