I'm going to see it. How exciting! It sounds like a real corker.
I'll let you know this evening whether I took the plunge but looking at it I think the answer is pretty obvious.
Thanks again Naga.

wow what a find Martin wtg, id have buyers here whod import the thing. was reading Henrys cct thread thought way to go Henry, then see this bloody thread and was shocked to read stolen. WTF, why would they, a 23yo bike, slime bastas. still hope they left some crumbs behind on the cctv. hope you get the low mileage blue/white to compensate. the color you will grow to love to. BTW, I have a spare top fuse panel brand new, not sure they can be bought anymore, so bought 2 when I needed one for bike when first bought.

He he.......
I bought it!
You are all going to be envious as hell. This thing has never seen a day of rain in it's life.
Perfect? Not quite....... but very nearly.
It has 16,000 miles on the clock. When I looked through the openings in the fairing I realised I was looking at a throwback that has seen little of the real world. It has lain closeted and underused. The radiator is in pristine condition, the frame shines, it's just too good to be true...... but I simply couldn't find anything wrong with it that would put me off buying it for that money. The original exhausts are still in 'as new' condition. She sounds amazing.
The only blemishes are a bit of blistered paint under the clutch lever on the top panel (we all know that one don't we?) and the seat cover coming away around the fuel tap slightly.
The guy selling it was a gem too. He's just bought a ZZR1400 so this had to go. Kind of hard for him I'd say because that's exactly the kind of bike I was starting to look at for a replacement but my pockets are far too light for one of those just yet.

To say I'm happy again is an understatement. I'll pick her up tomorrow evening.
Once again. Thanks Naga!!!! Ya bloody did it!

As for the CCT mod, of course I'll put some thought into a little production run now. It would only be fair to repay you all for all the help and support you've given me the last week, but if you can return the remains of the old bike I would of course be most grateful.
Pictures for you all to see by next weekend I promise and I'll give you connoisseurs some detail to dribble over.
Grin.

Sensational news Henry! I just knew you'd appreciate the quality and couldn't resist...

You might not believe this but it's 4AM here and I woke up thinking "I wonder if Henry is back with the new bike yet?" I just had go turn on the computer to see..... but no post... 30 mins later of reading other posts and in comes your great news.
I think all members on forum will be equally happy for you .... but you have to be a good boy in future and stop keeping us up like this.

Back to bed now for me knowing your now safe!

It took me a long time to clear all that ouzing love slime off my keyboard after it literally erupted out of my screen.
I hope I haven't kept you awake for long Martin. Thanks for your kind thoughts. I may have to shed a little tear later when I've calmed down.
Volvi, I just read your offer. That's a done deal pal. I'll get round to contacting you about that soon.
Shadow is right. it's time for a different approach to security. I will never make it easy for anyone to take this bike. Already looking into trackers, alarms etc.
Now back to bed with you all (on that side of the world).
Tomorrow is another day. For me a much happier one.

Oh! Fantastic Henry, ab-so-bloody-lootely fantastic. I got up early too - but then I always get up early (just after 5 am here)

I am so happy that you have found your next mistress. Also happy that we, the downunder dogs had something to do with it!

Naga, I'll shout the next Barossa Red when we meet up again - as I said in my post above "You Da Man!"

If you've ever wondered the value of spending your valuable time with on-line "friends", wonder no longer. You couldn't make up this ****!

I've grown unnaturally attached to this forum and the PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT in a very short time.

Here's to Henry and his new CBR1000F - may your association be long, happy and safe!

Cheers, SB
