So the selling point of not having to change gear is lies then?
I also missed the whoosh at 6krpm.
Can't recall the gear it was a good few days ago, my 130 vid seems corrupted, got this one which is a run to 120, I just expected it to be a lot faster.
This is a run up to 120, again slow start

HP = TORQUE x RPM ÷ 5252
You need to drop a few gears to get the RPM up. Open her up full throttle and shift at red line. Hang on and keep banging gears.
These bikes have 70 ft/lbs of torque.
So you started out at around 2,500 RPM, or 33 HP and then opened it up.
You came up past 6,500 RPM where the engine was making 87 HP.
You need to be starting at 6,500 RPM for you roll-ons to be effective.
Shift to a higher gear at 10,000 RPM, 130 HP max. After 10,000 RPM the valves start to float and other things start to happen and the power curve takes a dive.
It looked like your clutch may have been slipping when coming into power (6,500 RPM) but that may have been due to the video.

but yu know what Pete saying something , anything , is better than dying of bloody boredom some days here keeping an eye on chit ..lolol
and BTW .. It was moved here Pete..... by the mysterious Ghost Rider Mod and om backing him up on the call .......lol
I see what the problem is...no rocket booster, nitrous, or turbo charger. How can you expect to break the sound barrier without at least one of those goodies?
130MPH - 120MPH , 10500RPM ???? PUBLIC ROADS ?? ....

Personally , I do not think that there is much , if anything wrong with the CBR !
The rider on the other hand ???

Hey:
I thinks it a good ole Scottish ripper of a wind up. I owned a Silver CBX750F a fast, great handling bike when I lived in Aldershot, Hampshire. It was the Super Sport version of the USA CB750F Nighthawk with a chain drive and bigger carbs. It had Pods and a Micron pipe on it with a Metzeler ME1s with a White Power Shock and GV/ Pro Spring fork kit. It could certainly out handle the CBR1000F, but in no way could it out power it in anyway. If your CBX750F can outrun your CBR1000F, you need to do another compression check and a leak down test on it. Also check that your brakes are not dragging as something is wrong.
Dub
Oh and BTW the White area in the airbox is in all of them, if I recall. Its the harder White ABS shell that the Black ABS box is shaped around to give it a good sealing point for the filter. You have to pull the carb rubbers off, and/or the filter out to see it really well (or break open the airbox).

a little more wind in the kilt more like
![Wink](https://cbrforum.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif)
But were you really expecting award winning results sub 7500 rpm ?
All I can say is ........ No wonder ! LOL ... Do you know where
power band is on these at all ?
Like to see a pic of that white plate with a hole in it
located in the airbox .... ...was someone keeping pet hamsters
in the airbox in the winter or something ?
And yeah Pete I .......did move it in here because from the
get go it has been pretty inconsistent with plenty of gaps
as you can see
Somethings up tho in any event because that was some
wicked slow VID in that clip
Only time I saw something like that was where the riders
left leg was in a cast and he had problems using the gears
with some good throttle.
Liked you other VIDs too Chammy the CBX and stretching the legs of the banger !
And BTW Chammy when setting the valve timing just out of
interest which way did you rotate the motor ? as you say you
are certain it's timed correctly
