Default Maija - The International Cat of Mystery

That was a very embarrassing old photo that you managed to dredge up there Seb.

Since meeting you, she has realized the unfortunate direction her life might be taking her.

She has managed to improve her life by learning to read.

Was very disappointed with "To Kill a Mockingbird" ; she expected much more instructional technique.

Kind of like a Haynes Manual.

But she is very busy with her duties as an Official Heat Absorption Tester for Caltech, and of course her duties as Emissary to New Zealand for Catalonia.

Caught her in a rare quiet moment today:

Oh you guys... if only I could master the language well enough to take part in your verbal acrobatics... but I must say the last post did induce some rather cheerful chuckle

Speaking of tonics I might just fix myself a drink while trying to dodge the inevitable shower room scrubbing. Home alone so I can be as productive as ever. So far managed to produce three empty cans and a plate full of gnawed up chicken wing bones... got a bottle of sapphire waiting downstairs that I've took one sample of. Does anyone know how many acres of junipers is in a litre? Jeez that stuff is strong!

Sorry, no witty comeback or a funny cat pic with an intelligent joke on the side...

Is that Maya the old sot Teek? She looks suitable settled and sozzled....

Now Matti just for you.............

En todellakaan kuten kissat

If I even tried to put a single sentence together in Finnish I would fail utterly, so feel proud that you can do what you do, which by the way is excellent, in English.

We now return to our (ab)normal programming

I'm guessing Teeks, that your catatonic cat was lucky it wasn't catapulted over the cataract in a catamaran! Hey that is categorically catchy

Cheers, SB

PS: did you know there are 347 words beginning with cat in the online dictionary?

Eventually, Son. You're going to have to pay the Piper.

BTW. Mrs.Woof had her Nana hat on today.

Well not really... but how the heck can you possibly know about it yet?

Unless... you`ve had some random thoughts lately...

well darn...

Try searching for "hiphoppii englantii" in youtube if you could get a non-region locked link...

It`s a children`s song but it is quite hilarious, done by one of the most renounced finnish rappers Karri Miettinen a.k.a. Paleface. He`s done all kinds of stuff from kiddie songs to some harcore political material as well, most of it pretty good even though I`m not that into rap music...

As always Seb, your comments have sent me off on one of my random, free thought, totally obscure tangents.

So, would it be possible to rank the popularity of pets based on the number of words that start with their name?

So I accept your finding that 347 words begin with cat.

But the same dictionary, tells me that there are 124 words beginning with dog.

That feels about right, I would think that maybe about three times as many people own a cat versus a dog.

Guess how many words start with albatross?

You're right, just the one. And I personally don't know anyone with an albatross as a pet. Conclusive proof of my hypothesis, and I didn't need a research grant to prove it.

I'm going to coin a new word Teek.

Your quest is to come up with a suitably abstract but realistic meaning

Albatrossified

Then there can be two words in the CBR Forum Dictionary with Albatross in them

Have at it.................

Cheers, SB
