got a puncture 7 mile from tyre shop after getting a new tyre fitted, i didn't use that kit, it had long sticky strips ya twist. but it was in it to the tyre was bald. and i didn't slack it off with riding.
i'd say it's down to the size of the hole or item in it.
same as:

I had a nail in a rear tire of one of my bikes. My friend has that kit and we used it. I had a slow leak after we plug the tire. A week later I used my kit, the one KenG has. I pushed the old plug into the tire while inserting the new rope, it holds pressure now.
That kit works with the assumption that air pressure will push the mushroom shape of the plug against the tire and seal the leak. I think it would work if you had some kind of sealant with you to apply it to the plug before inserting. The problem is that you have to fold the mushroom part of plug into the inserter tool and that won't work.
One other thing, you have to drill the hole out to get the plug in with the special plug inserter. You have 1/2 of a second to pull the drill and get the plug in before you dump all the air in the tire.
The regular rope type, like the one KenG and myself use, is quick and easy and works for less money.

A few drops of contact adhesive on any plug will help it to go into the tyre and seat on the inside. I once used a length of parachute cord and Contact adhesive to get me home.. double the cord over the end of a thin screwdriver, coat with contact, shove it in and Bob's your off to the races Brother
I've ridden my bike with plugs in the back tyres all my life and not had one fail on me.
I'd be more hesitant plugging the front though.
Looks like a nice set but expensive IMO.
