you laugh but I saw a guy do that very thing last weekend to a hedge trimmer.

 

I've had the same cheap assed HomeLite 2 stroke for 16 years - starts everytime
light as hell and takes beating probably put 1500 feet of line through it to date but I
always run plenty of oil mix in my 2 stroke saws and small motors incl 2 stroke boat
motors

 

Sproke you do realize you just jinxed your trimmer praising it like that, don't you? Now it's doomed. :-)
