Looking at a Honda GL1000, advice
Awe relax TBT -
Nope I have my sights on a few PDR candidates
There's a DRZ 400 down on the Cape with 15.8 miles on it
for short money it just needs a Baja Street Kit for the PDR
in the Process of haglin that one, then there's an 09 KLR for
short $ and I have an potential investment coming up in a
PC800 I hope to sell on / flip real fast to double up the $$$$
on the original investment
Beginning to think this could be a fun p/t bidness flipping
bikes !
Wheel- in and dealin man

And of course you won't forget to give Uncle Sam his rightful share of any profit that you may make by buying and selling these bikes will you?
Yeah right.

That's a CX not a CBX, Teeks. The adverts confusing - small difference from 2 to 6 cylinders.
Interesting comment from the owner "only ever used mineral oil - she doesn't like synthetics" - if he's never used it how does he know ?
There are plenty of those here - esp 500's. $8K is crazy for that bike.

I happened to start talking to a guy at the local servo tonight, he told me a very disturbing Mk1 Cortina GT story, which now makes me wonder why I ever sold mine.
Very cool; lets start a Fiat spider rebuild thread, just because we're all a bit good at doing internerd research and it would be a bit of fun to help you out.
Well Tony as you very well know the cost of restorations comes
right out of any capital gains that result ! then there's brokers
fees, advertising and marketing expenses, travel to see buyers
and on and on , so at the end of the day yes - Uncle will owe me
some relief due to the expenses incurred in the course of these
business activities.
Simple accounting practices ! .....not to state the obvious
Free is always great Woof - how's she look ?

I can't ride the CX500 because my kneecaps get rammed into the heads.
Has anyone run a search on "Goldwing Supercharger"? Yep! They make a blower for the older wings. There is a sharp looking GL1000 running around where I live. I would love to own it and put that blower on it.
Also, there is also a 2-barrel carb kit that replaces the 4 original carbs, but I'd go with the blower.

reason it's been in a shed 30 years ----- cam belts !!
