Tonight I was cooking a roast in the oven. Stitch kept His distance till I pulled it out of the oven and began to cut it up. Right at my feet. Of course I scolded Him for being in the kitchen, so he sat right at the end of the tile and sat like a perfect little boy. The look in His eye about brought me to tears. I just loved on Him and gave Him a slab.

That's the life for me. I can't wait to be Him...

And ya ya I got a JD or 5 in me now, but I hope I have it as good as He does when I get back.

 

Its bed time for me and by default if he wants or not Him. Why am I so screwed up over a dog? I don't get it.

 

Somewhat late but I'm sorry to hear of your loss. The pain eases over time and eventually will be replaced by warm memories of the times you had with your friend.

My rottie died in my arms Christmas and I still miss him. He was 10 y/o and the sweetest, big goofy-assed dog you could imagine. Even though we have 2 kids, 6 cats, and another rottie, the house feels empty without his huge aura. There will be other dogs but there will never be another Rocco, The Captain of the Couch.

(The box was his own doing- no one placed it there, though I had to get it off once he was finished playing )
