Default Still out of ideas!

Well I finally got the air cut off valve in from Old Bike Barn after 3 1/2 weeks and it started for a couple of seconds with starting fluid but then died. I am very close to giving up. What more can I do?

I took out a few of the plugs and they were bone dry after just trying to start it.

I thought that I would just add that I tested out the fuel pump and it works well.

What could cause fuel getting in the float bowl but not in the cylinder?

I don't know why a jet would be plugged. I just took the carbs out of a cleaner bath for a week.

I tried to start it again tonight and it started a few times with no starting fluid, but it still died after a few seconds.

I will check to see which cylinders aren't firing tomorrow, and yes it is driving me nuts.

After reading the posts from the beginning I noticed that the first problem was a blocked carbie from rust. You treated the tank, replaced the fuel filter & went on from there. Several things come to mind. Fine rust tends to set like concrete in the fuel galleries. These particles are small enough to get through the filter. Did you use compressed air to blow out the galleries? I've not treated my tank yet but is there any chance that some of the sealer worked it's way into the carburetters blocking a gallery??.
