Hot weather riding gear?

I agree with you Dylan, I'm a real big fan of leather 
...I mean bike gear you sickos...mostly . I'll check out the Motodry and see what it's made of as I've heard about synthetic stuff melting into your skin before. I'd forgotten about it though so thanks for that thought. Drove today (aircon ) due to child transportation requirements, but plan to get a good ride in on Sunday..wife wants me to instal new dishwasher though

No worries on the dishwasher, mate! Easy install may even get you on the wife's good side...
I don't know much about the motodry stuff, but I'd like to try the Motoport stuff (it's just so dam expensive!). Some times it will pop up on ebay for much cheaper, though....and the good stuff isn't really hot weather gear.
I open up all the zipper vents on my Cordura jacket in the summer and i still get hot at stops. Not much you can do really. Plus, mine is black (as are a lot of them). That doesn't help...

Dave, I think leather is definitely the way to go. Textiles have come a long way for sure, but many of the cheaper ones are made of Poly (obviously not good when you're sliding on the pavement). Sometimes they can actually be worse than less because they'll melt right into your skin. Nylons are the way to go (good kevlar much better if you're a rich man). Most of the nylons are Cordura stuff. Ok with armor, but not to be confused with good leather (even after all these years), but much better than nothing.

... that s keeps me thinking all the time while om speeding along , splitting traffic , cruising between cars , cranking it through round abouts and generally being (as Kerri calls me) a crazy bastard LOL
