Cool Heads Up!!!

Ello chaps, hope all is well in the land of 1000F. It's been a while since my last posting and I saw a pic via Steve/live/hotmail that prompted me to pop my head in.
Well what's been happening with me? You might remember that I last had a 1200 Triumph Trophy, hmmm?..... Well that's gone to bike heaven as some old dear pulled out on me at a crossroad giving me no chance to haul it up, so I ended up 'T' boning her (not sexually, as a friend asked if it was like 'T' bagging, lol) and turning the Trumpet into a CAT B right off but luckily for me it happened in a 30mph area so my injuries were minor, worst being a fractured toe. What happened a split second later is more scary.
As I lay there on my back trying to kick this big trumpet off my right leg I hear her car wheel spinning, "Oh fek", me thinks, "she's coming back to finish me n the bike off". What actually happened was she hadn't see this HUGE BIKE with twin headlights switched on and a rider with a yellow dayglow vest, until she heard the 'BANG' when I hit her, her reaction was meant to brake but instead of that she floored the 'Hyundai accent' which wheel spun off the road mounting the kerb/walkway and embeding itself into the side of a house!!!
Needless to say the police decided not to charge her but got her to relinquish her license. Hurragh one less old coot on the road to kill us.
Anyhow, once I could walk again I picked up old '99 Kwaker ZZR1100 to fill that two wheeled gap. I'd post a pic up of her and tell you how it handles etc but you'd end up selling your 1000F's to buy one, LOL... x

What the hell, enjoy....

Hello Mo,
That's a **** story of bike meets blue rinse and looses but car meets house and looses sounds appropriate. Sometimes there's something to be thankful for in speed limits. Hope your tow is now fully mobile.
Nice kwak you got there. No, I'm not jealous although I've never ridden that model.
How would you rate it compared to a nice old CBR then?
I won't be selling my CBR even if you tell me this travels way faster than the new CBR speed of light limit.
Hope your luck stays in your favour.

Man sucks to hear bout your collision, glad for you she's off the road cause that may save the life of another rider. Man that bike sure is pretty, I would also like to hear how she compares to the CBR.

Hey up Mo !
Good to hear you survived the "blue rinse attack"
That's a nice looking bike - haven't ridden one but have done the ZZR1200 - also nice, more power than the 1000F but I wouldn't sell my bike for one.
BTW there's a really smart 97 1000F on e-Bay UK, the last of the line, a red silver etc one. Now if that was closer I'd be tempted. I think the dealer's been smoking his socks, though, looking at the price

Hey:

Very nice Kwak you got. They have a great engine, very fast, and sinister looks. Good luck, stay safe and enjoy that ride.

I'm glad you're ok. Nice looking bike too! I have a soft spot for kwakas (had a couple), but there were some issues with soft cams on some of those when they came out...nothing with the cbrf though.

Seriously...nice ride mate!!

Hey Mo good to hear from you!

Nice lookin' Kwaka, always been fond of the ZZR1100, great looking bikes.

Hope all your 'little piggies' are wriggling properly now and glad the damage wasn't more severe!

Ride safe

Cheers folks, glad to hear your all alive n still holding the flag for the Hurricanes. I still have a soft spot for them and try to pinch a shot of my m8's from work as often as poss.
For those asking about the difference between the ZZr and Hurricane, well.... On paper there aint much in it as for weight and power and they both spin up the rear when cold when applying bags full of throttle. What I think is that the Kwaker has its gear ratio set more on the race side and develops more power on the higher end of the revs whilst still being smooth up till then, keep it up there and it's mental, quite happily breaking all the speed limits in 1st gear and wanting to lift the front end without dipping the clutch. I've had her showing 145mph with bags more to offer, the previous owner said he'd had doing 160 and still wanted to go..... I'll be honest, my underware couldn't handle 145 for long and my helmet was telling me to slow down due to the vibration coming thru it..
But the best test is, go grab a try for yerselfs, I've always tried to blag shots of all my m8's bikes for the reason to say, been there, done that...... Take care guys and keep it shiny side up ))
