Heads the same on 99 & 00 CBR 600 F4 ??
hey everybody noob here....
got a 99 CBR 600 F4with a frickin'stripped outplug hole...previous owner must've done it before i bought the bikebut i didnt know until the plug finally came loose and the bike took a crap.
now the local shop says they can't heli-coil it...even if they removethe head...and i need a new head....to the tuneof $ 1850.00 parts andlabor ?? wtf !!
he says it has something to do with the wayHonda designed the threads on the CBR's ??...anybody ever hear that one or is he trying to hose me ??
anyway since its an older bikeI figured I'd get a used head and let the shop do the labor.
so I found a used '00 F4 head butcananyone confirm if99 & 00 Heads are identical ??
ronayers.com shows the same part # but are there any differences I should worry about ?
