Default First ride this year

Yesterday, January 1st, I went for a little ride. The roads where clear and I had to drop a battery tender off at a friends house.

Bike or car with heater...bike or car....bike or car.....bike wins!

A little cold but the better choice. I have never ridden on news years day before, skied many times but ridden, never.

It was nice day for it. I was out riding, I think I burned up all the stabil in the tank . I stopped at a gas station with a couple of other sport bikes and there was a beautiful 93 cbr 1000, there was alot of cruiser bikes out. The one guy at tthe gas station said that the number of cruiser bikes was like hitting a flock of geese.

Got to ride yesterday, sun was shining but the roads are cold and damp, so just a steady right hand and not too much lean in the corners. Pi55ing with rain today, so she's sleeping in the garage. Cold wet n slippy aint my kinda riding

I was a little puckered the other day.

Light dusting last night so now I have to wait till spring. Once they toss the salt out, it's all over till the spring rain washes it away.

Opted for golf with the wife instead of a ride on the 1st, so the new year ride will have to wait until Friday.

I did celebrate 1 year of ownership on the 1st!

We've had several warm days up in the 50's. The 1000F had her turn first and the 900RR got out Saturday. Got a serious offer for her at a local shop too. Well new rubber for both in the spring and then we'll see what happens.

That's gonna end soon. It was between 30 and 40's this week and then it snowed last night. In the teens this weekend. Winter is about 3 months late but it may be here finally.

I was thinking about that the other day. It should be -20F (-29C) this time of year but it was 43F (6C) the other day. That's 63F (35C) warmer than it should be.
